Instagram has proven to be a successful platform for businesses around the world to have a place to share their products, services and so on in a popular and free website/application. Instagram is growing day by day to be the largest community ever present on the web. People from all around the world have memberships with this popular app. According to ekurd.net, Instagram is popular for a few reasons:
- Easy and User-friendly Installation
- Easy Photo Sharing and Manipulation
- It’s Also a Social Network
- It’s a Great Business Channel
With so much hype among users when it
comes to Instagram, it’s no wonder its popularity is still growing. By
next year, the tenth year since Instagram was launched, many people are
seeing great milestones that it will achieve. It may either match or
surpass Facebook when it comes to the number of users. This is thanks to
Instagram’s expanded compatibility and improved versatility with mobile
phones. Basically, being a mobile-ready, user-friendly and
image-centered app makes Instagram a popular app and social network that
has the potential to achieve bigger things in the coming years.
Growing on Instagram will be a challenge, however, if you don't familiarize yourself with what it does and how it does it. There are limitless numbers of posts and blogs covering tips on how to grow on Instagram; however, I am going to introduce just a few.
#1 You have to identify your niche (people who are on the same page with your business)
If you are a home interior designer, you might want to look up tags associated with that in your search page. Go for #architecture, #design ... to know more about the community that shares the same interests as you. After identifying the audience you are going to be working with, it comes to your second step.
#2 Know about them
What problems are they having at this time. What are the expectations of customers (home owners), workers (who will be bringing designs to life) and other parties involved. This way, you will be able to:
#3 Create related content that adds value
What is going to give your Instagram page value is what you create and share. If you have content relevant to your niche, you will surely (but a bit slower than how you should) get followers who will then turn into fans who will be supporting you, sharing your posts with their friends and so on. The secret ingredient is the originality of your content. Yes, you might be addressing the same problem with the same method, but how you decide to present it will have to be specific to your page. The colors, the fonts and the final designs for your posts!
#4 You will also need followers who are probably not going to be in your niche
...but will be with you because they are only interested. There are hundreds of ways to get followers. First of all, people are already contributing the the Instagram community for FREE. It's essential that you know this. The expectancy for FREE content which is also valuable is crucial for you to know. You can't expect people to pay for the ideas you are sharing. As a matter of fact, you are there to solve problems for free. Think of this as a platform like stackexchange.com where people answers your questions for free without asking anything in return.
#5 Get a landing page for your Instagram page and promote anywhere
One of the most annoying things about wanting to advertise your Instagram page on other sites is that it doesn't allow you to put your Instagram profile link on other website to get views (https://instagram.com/yourusername). This is a limitation, and lately, there has been some developments in this area. You can now use services like Bizeem to create a free landing page hosted by them for you to freely advertise your Instagram on other websites, such as traffic exchanges, PTCs, etc. and the best thing is that when a person clicks to see your full profile on this landing page is a person who is genuinely interested and clicked the link after some consideration (seeing a preview of your latest posts, your description of the page, etc.).
So, what are your comment on this particular subject matter. What business are you promoting on Instagram, if any? Are you going to try what I said above? Make sure to comment on my post and ask any questions you might have.
Most awesome advice I have read about Instagram.
